SOCIAL MUSIC MARKETEERS
Open Invitation to my Fellow Recording Artists and Friends in the Music Biz
Disappointed with the state of the music industry?
Me, too. I kept my albums virtually unreleased for 17 years. For me, self promotion wasn't ever really an option. And streaming? We all know what's streaming out, but is there anything really streaming back in?
Here's how we can fix it:
25% of the Gross
I'm sharing 25% of the gross income from the sales of Crossing the Red Line and Undercover - Songs from Timbuk3 with people who promote my music via their websites and newsletters.
We call it Social Music Marketeers - SOMUMA.
We'll track the traffic sources and pay the Marketeers 25% of the gross income on sales that come from your websites and newsletter campaigns.
I'm working with CleaRights to administrate payments to my fellow songwriters, musicians and recording artists, fans, community organizations and friends in the biz.
We're able to offer this opportunity to people, organizations and businesses in the United States and we're working on establishing our service in the European Union.
If you are a recording artist, it just might work for you, too.
Let's promote each other. And we'll all rise together.
